Why Electronics? A note from the instructor. I teach electronics every other year.

Electronics and electrical engineering are among the most diverse scientific disciplines because they form the foundation of all communication, computing, and modern technology.

Fields related to electronics will remain in high demand for the foreseeable future. If you are skilled in this area, you will always be a sought-after professional. While other disciplines like chemistry and biology are important, they don't always offer the same career security for two simple reasons:
  1. Entrepreneurial Flexibility: It is difficult to start a private business in many other sciences. With electronics, however, you have a valuable fallback; if you lose your job, you can start your own business or even teach the subject, as I do. Because technology is so pervasive, an electronics background ensures you are never without options.
  2. Unrivaled Versatility: Electricity is connected to almost every aspect of modern life. The career paths are virtually endless, ranging from hardware design to cybersecurity. Pursuing electronics provides the most well-rounded and future-proof education you can get.
